Lot of three (3) forged iron currency Tajere forms, one on stand, 19th or early 20th century, two (2) of which exhibited at "Africa’s Iron and Copper Currencies", Institute of African Studies, Columbia University, New York, New York, March 2000, Mumuye peoples, Cameroon, West Africa. Approximate sizes 13.5" long, 16" long, and 18" (20.75" tall on stand) long.
PROVENANCE:From the estate of Professor Philip Gould, New York
Condition: Fair: Oxidised metal, wear consistent with age.
