3rd – 10th Century Coptic textile, large band fragment, geometric with floral motif, dark brown, orange, green, yellow, and undyed linen, central band with three ovals containing central diamond form surrounded by circles, Egypt, North Africa. Approximate size 7.5" x 6". Matted.
PROVENANCE:From the estate of Professor Philip Gould, New York
Condition: Fair: Very old textile fragment, losses, fragile, condition consistent with age.
