A copper or copper alloy prestige fan, with hammered design illustrating a variety of sacred animals, Ashanti peoples, Republic of Ghana, West Africa, likely 19th century or early 20th century. Approximate size, 13"H with 8.25" fan diameter.
PROVENANCE: From the estate of Dr. Philip Gould, New York
Condition: Fair condition, good patina consistent with age, some losses to fan edges.
